Within the company, all major policies are framed and regulated by the Board of Directors (BOD)” while day to day management and decision-making is ensured by the designated CEO appointed by the BOD. The core operations are managed by a hierarchy of senior, middle and lower order staff (Directors, Managers and Assistant managers) who have broad responsibilities for business strategies, planning, implementation or assistance with the day to day work of the two core divisions spanning i) The Infrastructure/Engineering sectors and ii) The Social Sectors.

The two divisions are closely supported by a dedicated Administration/Finance Division; an active Operations division and other country and international offices. The firm routinely inducts short as well as long-term term contract staff for a broad range of Projects. However all Project activities are invariably backstopped and “quality assured” by the core “long-term” staff who ensure that the company’s business ethics, core values and the standard operating procedures are adhered. Learning from international best practices, professional management systems are in place and also fully documented to ensure the highest standards of service delivery in varying, fast paced and often evolving project conditions.

The company values and consciously nurtures all partnerships that range from young and budding entrepreneurs to large international organizations. Building on the mutual trust and confidence in respective abilities, AiD’s professional network now spans many countries an dd virtually all continents across the globe. Many of our close associates continue to assist and further build our portfolio of works and are thus practically a part of the core team.

Collectively the AID team posses national and international experience and the needed capacities to offer wide- ranging services for projects in public and the private sectors.

Our twin emphasis on quality and cost-effectiveness has led to the creation of a strong core team which is supported by a large and active network of specialized service providers in multiple disciplines.

Project size, complexity, geographic location and the sector focus often dictates decisions on whether AiD Pvt. Ltd. or one of its international subsidiaries take the lead in project preparation and implementation. Many of our projects are managed by AiD Pvt. Ltd. Pakistan, however the company’s international focus has grown in recent years thus leading to enhanced business development , networking and management lead by our subsidiary offices in the Middle East, Europe and the US.

The evaluation involved assessments of two IFAD-co financed projects including the Kagera Agriculture and Environmental Management Project (KAEMP) and the Participatory Irrigation Development Project (PIDP). The TORs recognized that the projects under review have been conceived and implemented in a rapidly decentralizing environment. A period that also saw significant developments in the evolution of Tanzania’s agriculture sector policies, Rural Development and Poverty reduction strategies as well as the far reaching “Local Government Reform Program.
